Survey Overview:
In the first semester studio and courses, we analyzed the site using advanced technologies such as big data surveys, robotic sensors, and measuring data gathering terminals. We also implemented machine learning and artificial intelligence in processing the gathered data.
As the actual location is not yet accessible, we were tasked with building hypotheses and assumptions about the space using the availability of simulation spaces in either the MA or OW campuses. Additionally, we were asked to design the space digitally, including the intangible components of the space.

DESIGN HYPOTHESIS:
The Design Hypothesis task involves creating a research hypothesis for incorporating AI agents and robotic arms in the design context of Casino Temanza. It includes analyzing the physical context, expected exhibition artifacts, and real and virtual non-material values, and considering different agents such as AI agencies, robotic arms, visitors, exhibitors, and other potential living/non-living agents. The task also includes exploring physical and virtual interfaces to establish relationships between the agents and the context.

“Glass Maze: A Computational Design Approach for a Multi-functional, Aesthetically Pleasing Structure at Anna Nagar Tower Park, Chennai.”
Interfacing and Prototyping:
I aim to produce a digital model that integrates spaces, agents, and interfaces in accordance with the research hypothesis and as an outcome of the iterative process generated by AI and machine learning.

Chennai:
Located on India’s east coast, Chennai is a lively city and the capital of the Tamil Nadu state. Its rich history, culture, and tradition are reflected in its numerous temples, museums, and art galleries, making it a popular destination for tourists. Chennai offers a vibrant mix of tradition and modernity, with bustling streets and markets alongside serene beaches and lush parks, providing something for everyone to enjoy.

Idli:
Chennai is famous for its mouth-watering South Indian cuisine, with one of its most popular dishes being idlis. These soft and fluffy steamed rice cakes are a must-try for breakfast or as a snack. They are typically accompanied by a spicy lentil soup and coconut chutney, making for a delightful and satisfying meal.

Tower park:
Anna Nagar Tower Park is a massive and renowned park situated in the heart of Chennai city. Covering a sprawling 8 acres of land, the park is famous for its iconic tower structure that majestically stands in the center of the park.
The park is a perfect destination for people of all ages due to its well-maintained lawns, colorful flower beds, and various walking paths. It also features a separate play area for kids.
The park’s highlight is undoubtedly its towering structure, which stands tall at 138 feet, resembling a lighthouse. Visitors can climb up the tower to witness a breathtaking panoramic view of the surrounding areas.

Problem:
The Anna Nagar Tower Park is a delightful destination in Chennai, but it falls short in providing food and refreshment options for visitors. As a result, many visitors have to purchase their food from the small shops and stalls located outside the park, where they can find delectable South Indian cuisine, such as the local favorite idlis. However, the area around these shops can become crowded, with people blocking the roads and causing traffic congestion. Despite the shop owners’ attempts to manage the crowds, the situation has become increasingly challenging.
AI Text to 2D:

Proposal:
Imagine a transformed Anna Nagar Tower Park that goes beyond just being a park. Envision a breathtaking glass structure seamlessly integrated into the park’s surroundings, with 12 entrances beckoning visitors to explore its interior. This addition will revolutionize the way people perceive and interact with space.

Conclusion:
With this new addition, Anna Nagar Tower Park can become a hub for leisure, entertainment, and culture. The glass structure can house a variety of facilities such as restaurants, cafes, art galleries, and even a small theater. This will not only create a source of revenue for the park but also provide a platform for local artists and entrepreneurs to showcase their talent. The space can be transformed to host events like concerts, exhibitions, and fairs, making it a popular destination for people of all ages and interests. Overall, this revitalization project has the potential to transform Anna Nagar Tower Park into a vibrant and dynamic space that truly reflects the spirit of Chennai.
